“It all started with a walk in the park and a conversation on a park bench…
Jenny, our brilliant graphic designer, brings her neurodivergent brain to life through art that’s vibrant, expressive, and deeply connected to how children see the world. As for me, I’ve spent over two decades working with children, families, and schools — supporting kids who struggle with big feelings, emotional regulation, and the daily challenges of being misunderstood. We started talking about how essential Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is, and how often it gets overlooked — especially for kids who need it most.
That conversation led us down a rabbit hole of dreams and “what ifs.” What if we created something that helped all kids — neurodivergent and neurotypical — learn about emotions, kindness, confidence, and coping? What if we did it in a way that felt playful, compassionate, and real? What if parents could feel just as supported and seen as their children?
That’s how Mrs. Z’s Busy Bees was born — a buzzing YouTube channel filled with music, stories, coping tools, and heart. With Jenny’s creativity and my background in child development and mental health, we knew we could build something meaningful. Something that sparks joy, teaches important life skills, and lets every child feel safe, celebrated, and empowered.”

This isn’t just a channel — it’s a hive of learning, love, and laughter. And we’re just getting started. 💛
Meet the Hive
Mrs. Z, Co-Founder & Personality
Mrs. Z is a big-hearted educator, behavior analyst, and lifelong play enthusiast — the kind who can recite children’s books by heart, finds joy in messy crafts, and is always five minutes late because she got distracted reorganizing her sticker drawer. With over 20 years of experience working with kids, Mrs. Z has built a career centered around emotional wellness, inclusive education, and the belief that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.
As the co-creative force behind Mrs. Z’s Busy Bees, she brings the heart and science of education to life—pairing her knowledge of social-emotional learning with Jenny’s creative magic to build a world where all children, neurodivergent and neurotypical alike, feel included, empowered, and ready to grow.
When she’s not buzzing through lessons with her animated bee sidekicks, you’ll find Mrs. Z reading anything with a great message, dreaming up new coping tools, or dancing in the kitchen with her own busy family. Whether she’s on screen, in the classroom, or brainstorming on a park bench, her mission is simple: to make emotional learning fun, accessible, and full of heart.
She may lose her keys, misplace her coffee, and accidentally wear mismatched socks—but she never loses sight of what really matters: helping kids feel smart, strong, capable, and loved.
Jenny, Co-Founder & Digital Creator
Jenny is a neurodivergent, hyper-focused creative with ADHD — the kind who happily disappears into research rabbit holes and has a hobby graveyard full of past crafts to prove it. With over 15 years of experience as a graphic designer, she’s built a career around bold ideas, thoughtful branding, and mentoring fellow creatives along the way.
A passionate advocate for women’s health, Jenny lends her design expertise to nonprofits focused on endometriosis and chronic illness, inspired by her own journey as a survivor. Her heart, however, belongs to the six small humans who call her “Aunt Jenny” — her niece and nephews, who spark her imagination and drive to create inclusive, engaging content for kids along with her recently self-published children’s book, “How Many Hearts Do You Have?”.
In her spare time, you’ll find Jenny experimenting with mixed media art, writing poems, making music, and devouring facts about science, anatomy, and wildlife. Whether she’s designing, dreaming, or doodling, her mission is always the same: to make the world a bit more colorful, kind, and curious.
